Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am very excited to be part of Kaiser Permanente, and am glad you have chosen to be a member of this innovative organization dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality health care. My hope is that this Web site will help foster a wonderful relationship between me and my patients.
I was born and raised in a small rural town in Northeast Michigan. I did my undergraduate training at Michigan State University (Go Spartans!). The rest of my medical education has been throughout the country: Kansas City, Philadelphia, and San Diego. I am very happy to be in Southern California. I enjoy exercise and sports, dining out, spending time with my Golden Retriever Cody, and traveling.
About my practice
I completed my family medicine residency here in San Diego at UC San Diego. I have enjoyed my practice as a family medicine physician here at the Kaiser Permanente La Mesa Medical Offices. Our nurses and office staff are very kind, compassionate, and hard working. We believe in a team approach to providing high-quality care. Everyone does his or her part to provide you with the best care possible. Open communication between you and my team is very important, so please tell us what's on your mind.
How I thrive
A healthy diet is important to me. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and avoid potato chips, soda, and sweets. I try to hit the gym as much as possible—at least one hour a day, four to five times a week. I strive to stay young on the inside as well as on the outside. A balance of work, family, and play is what keeps me sane in an insane world. Take a deep breath and thrive.
