Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2007 and I'm proud to be part of what I consider one of the best medical groups in the country.
I was born in Montana and did my undergraduate and medical studies in India. During some pediatric training, I realized how challenging it was to diagnose and care for babies who cannot speak for themselves. I decided to come to the United States to pursue a career in pediatrics. I did my residency in New York, and then moved to Southern California with my husband and our young daughter.
Being a doctor is not always about diagnosis using medical knowledge and skills, but also about listening to members or parents and addressing their concerns. By doing that, trust and a good patient/doctor relationship can be developed, which also helps foster a sense of being a team. There are three things that make me feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente: wonderful members, staff, and colleagues.
Keeping balance between family life and work is important to me. I enjoy cooking and outings with my husband and two children.
