Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I am fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in New Delhi, India and came to the United States in 1975. I grew up in Southern California and could not imagine living anywhere else! I chose to become a physician to help prevent chronic illnesses and help people live healthy lives. I've seen many in my own Indian community suffer from diabetes, heart disease, and other chronic illnesses. With the proper care and guidance, these illnesses are preventable and treatable. I live in the San Fernando Valley with my family. I am an avid sports fan, particularly of professional basketball and the Lakers. I enjoy weightlifting, swimming and playing basketball. Among my favorite hobbies are commercial aviation and home electronics.
About my practice
I feel that healthy lifestyles along with proper preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. I'm very passionate about preventive care and will partner with you and encourage you to lead a similar healthy lifestyle. I encourage patients to register on kp.org and use the website to help them manage their care and make their life easier and more efficient.
How I thrive
Maintaining balance in my life is very important to me. My family and friends are a major priority and I enjoy spending quality time with them. Other activities to help me relax and refresh include playing basketball, weight lifting, and watching sports (especially the Lakers and Dodgers!). I feel I truly do practice what I preach to my patients.
