Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people. I look forward to working with you to help you maintain a healthy life.
I was born in Poland. I received my medical degree there, as well as a Ph.D. in pharmacology. I then moved to the United States for my residency. I decided to continue my medical education in the field of kidney disease. I joined Kaiser Permanente right after my fellowship training. I enjoy family life with my lovely wife and three daughters. We spend a lot of time together traveling and playing sports.
About my practice
My practice is limited to nephrology, which deals with the function and diseases of the kidney. I take care of members with moderate or advanced kidney conditions, as well as those on dialysis and after kidney transplantation. Everyone in the Nephrology Department works as a team, providing continuous care for our members. We work closely with our nephrology fellows, pharmacists, nurses, dieticians, care managers, and social workers to address all the needs of our members. We believe in prevention and early intervention. A timely referral to our clinic can possibly save many people who have chronic kidney disease from undergoing dialysis, or at least postpone it. I also serve as a medical director in the hemodialysis unit.
How I thrive
My family life is my major priority. We spend many days a year going downhill skiing at beautiful Mammoth Mountain. We enjoy all-year camping trips to the High Sierras, national parks, and the coastal area. I play tennis and table tennis with my daughters. We enjoy the lap swimming at our health club. Once a year we also travel to Europe to visit our family and to stay in touch with our language, culture, and history.
