Welcome to my home page! I feel fortunate to be a part of a great team at Kaiser Permanente and am happy to take care of your eyes and your vision needs.
I was born in Japan and moved to Los Angeles when I was 1 year old. Growing up in a small suburb of Los Angeles called Gardena and attending UC Irvine for my undergraduate studies, I consider myself a Southern Californian. I have worn glasses since I was 12 years old and remember walking out of my optometrist's office that day and seeing the buildings and signs so clearly! I already knew before I started college that I wanted to be an optometrist.
It's hard to believe that I have been with Kaiser Permanente for over 15 years. Through the years, I have had the privilege of taking care of many of you, from the 10-year-old who can see the leaves on trees again with new glasses to the 80-year-old who can see vivid colors after cataract surgery. In addition to my regular practice, I specialize in contact lenses. I wear contacts myself, so I understand members’ needs for contact lenses.
I try to stay healthy. I balance my life by taking time off occasionally to spend with family, which includes my husband, daughter, son, and dog. I enjoy running half marathons and traveling.
