Where I practice
About me
Hi there and welcome to my web page! I am dedicated to delivering personalized, evidence-based care in a welcoming environment, where every patient feels heard, respected, and empowered in their health journey.
Biography
I grew up in Manila, Philippines, where my early experiences in the doctor’s office sparked a lifelong fascination with medicine. That curiosity never faded, and ultimately medicine became my calling.
I share my home with my partner and 3 dogs and have a genuine appreciation for learning — whether it’s a new destination, a new skill, or a new perspective.
I completed my medical degree at 23 and have continued to grow alongside medicine ever since. In addition to my family practice training, I hold a master's degree in clinical informatics, which is the intersection of health care, information technology, and data science. I am board‑certified in clinical informatics, bringing a modern and systems‑focused lens to patient care.
I also serve on the board of the HIV and Aging Research Project (HARP) in Palm Springs, an organization closely aligned with both my professional mission and my community.
About my practice
My training and experience span all of family medicine, allowing me to care for patients across all stages of life and backgrounds. I have hands-on experience in women’s and men’s health, LGBTQ+ care, geriatric medicine, musculoskeletal conditions, HIV medicine, and the evaluation and management of viral hepatitis. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, I practiced full‑spectrum family medicine, including pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, hospital medicine and hospice care. That breadth of experience continues to shape how I approach every patient today.
My approach to medicine is rooted in the belief that the body has a remarkable capacity to heal itself when given the right conditions. I practice with a holistic, lifestyle-centered philosophy — meaning I don't just treat symptoms; I look at the whole person: their habits, environment, relationships, and overall well-being.
I welcome all patients and have experience serving people living with HIV and members of the LGBTQ community.
How I thrive
One of the things I value most about practicing at Kaiser Permanente is the people. The camaraderie among colleagues creates an environment where collaboration comes naturally — and that spirit of teamwork ultimately benefits every patient we serve.
In my personal life, I regularly work out at the gym, eat well, and maintain a mindfulness and meditation practice. I make it a priority to connect with friends, which keeps me grounded and balanced. I also stay active on mountain bike trails, explore the performing arts, and travel when I can.
