Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
Welcome to my Web page. I work at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center as a family practice physician, and as a residency faculty member.
I have been practicing here since 1987 and have enjoyed it very much. I am a third-generation Californian and enjoy being close to family and friends near where I grew up. As a young child, I was hospitalized twice and became intrigued with medicine and the idea of a becoming a family physician. I pursued this goal and found enjoyment in meeting with people and their families. I like serving them as their personal physician and following their health care over time. Establishing continuity and a personal connection between a patient and physician is essential for positive health care.
My time at my family practice is divided between my patients and teaching. I enjoy the connection between knowing about my patients, their health and well-being, which are interrelated. Teaching in the residency keeps me involved in research and allows me to pass my knowledge on to the next generation of family practice physicians.
My belief is that we all need to keep our life in balance. I have enjoyed distance running since high school when I began running cross-country. In 1999, I set a goal to train for and run the Los Angeles Marathon, and I achieved that goal. Now, I ride my mountain bike on the weekends for stress reduction and cardiovascular health. Additionally, I enjoy flying single-engine airplanes. I received my pilot's license when I was 14 years old. I enjoy reading, especially mysteries, and spending time with my family.
