Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
Welcome to my Web page! I hope this page will help you learn a little bit about me and make you feel more comfortable seeing me as your doctor. I am a board certified physician in both family medicine and sports medicine.
Originally from Northern California, I moved to Southern California in 2001 to attend medical school at the University of Southern California. After earning my medical degree, I did a three-year residency in family medicine, then spent an extra year of training completing a fellowship in sports medicine. I joined Kaiser Permanente full-time in 2009, working in both family medicine and sports medicine. I serve as the team physician for a local high school and local college, and am active in the Sports Medicine Fellowship training program at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center.
My primary specialty is family medicine. I believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and firmly believe that EXERCISE IS MEDICINE. Healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, and I believe that all patients should take an active role in their health. I'm here to help if you become sick, but I'm also here to help you to stay well.Like many physicians, I strongly believe that exercise is the single most important aspect of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Exercise helps with weight loss, and can help in the management of a multitude of medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, chronic pain, etc.)
I certainly try my best to practice what I preach, and try to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise five days a week. I enjoy basketball, running, hiking, and snow skiing in the winter. I enjoy spending time with my family and am active in church.
