Where I practice
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to become better acquainted with me. It's important to feel comfortable with your physician, so I hope this page will help you start to get to know me. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and grew up in Standish, Michigan—a town of 1,500 people. My father was the family medicine physician for the whole town. My elementary school was next to his clinic. As a young boy, I would walk to his clinic after school and enjoy watching my father interact with his patients and staff. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to become a family medicine physician, too. I attended the University of Michigan, where I met my wife, and then went to medical school at De La Salle University in the Philippines. I’m thankful that I learned Tagalog in a medical setting so I can better communicate with my Tagalog-speaking Filipino members. After medical school, I did my residency training in Youngstown, Ohio.
About my practice
Preventive medicine is key. I enjoy the challenge of treating the whole individual—which involves a broad range of physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual factors.
How I thrive
Living in Southern California, I’m blessed to be able to live an active lifestyle. I enjoy going to the beach, swimming, playing tennis, golf, and basketball. I also enjoy going to church and exploring all that Southern California has to offer with my family.
