Where I practice
Hi, I’m a pulmonary and critical care physician. I would like to thank you for visiting my Web page and taking some time to learn about me.
I’m from Colombia and came to this country as an exchange student when I was 16. I was given the option to stay and start a new life. I began college with the goal of being in law enforcement, but after spending some time at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, I discovered the difference that caring and compassionate physicians can make. I worked in the pharmaceutical field and then went to medical school at UC Irvine. During my internal medicine residency I developed a passion for complex and challenging cases. I went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the same institution.
About my practice
My practice philosophy is to always keep an open mind, to surround myself with quality and qualified colleagues, and to stay current with new guidelines and treatments. I’ve learned that a team approach translates into better care and an enjoyable practice. I enjoy getting to know our members—learning from their experiences and being receptive to their needs and concerns to establish a strong and positive relationship. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I sincerely hope I can meet you and help you with your medical needs.
How I thrive
I cherish spending time with my family, visiting new places, and volunteering in the community. Exercise is an important component in my life, and when weather permits I enjoy firing the grill and trying something on the BBQ.
