Welcome! Thank you for visiting my Web page. I’m happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself, and I hope this page helps you feel informed about my practice and myself.
I was born and raised in Southern California, and then headed to Cornell University where I played collegiate tennis. After I graduated, I performed medical research at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center. I obtained my master’s degree and my medical degree from Georgetown University, graduating summa cum laude. I completed my general surgery residency at USC, where I was named "Intern of the Year" and "Most Outstanding Chief Resident," and received numerous teaching awards. I completed my fellowship at the University of Minnesota.
I am board-certified by the American College of Surgeons, as well as the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. I’m also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I feel extremely fortunate to be a surgeon because it gives me the opportunity to truly help people. I want my members to be fully informed and comfortable with the process, since having surgery can be anxiety-provoking. To achieve this, I try to spend ample time with my members, explaining their medical condition, as well as their treatment options. I want my members to know I’m here for them to answer any questions or further discuss the plan of their care.
I enjoy spending time with my family, who are all in Southern California. I still love to play tennis, as well as to cook and travel.
