Where I practice
Thank you for the opportunity to introduce myself. I am originally from New York City, and came to Southern California with my wife to rejoin our respective families.
I attended a special high school for science and math in New York City, followed by Columbia University, and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Since early in my medical training, I have been a firm believer in the bio psychosocial model of medicine, and this has informed my practice throughout my career. An empathic, humanitarian approach to patients and their overall needs – not just the purely clinical – is vital to successful health outcomes and building long-lasting relationships of mutual trust.
About my practice
I am dedicated to outcomes-related research, and work on a multidisciplinary team to devise protocols that can benefit our patients, students, and the medical center. We aspire to apprise our patients of the latest breakthroughs from randomized trials, as well as registry data, and integrate this information into our treatment recommendations – especially vis-a-vis prevention.
How I thrive
My wife and I participated in varsity sports in high school and college. I am an avid basketball fan, and enjoy playing the game. Our kids have followed us in their love for both basketball and soccer, and we make these two particular sports a family affair.
