About me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work. I am an internal medicine physician and have practiced for more than 20 years. I was trained in Minnesota at a county hospital, so I have met people from all walks of life. I moved to San Diego in 1998 and was in private practice until 2006. Now I am very happy to be with Kaiser Permanente.

Biography

I’m happily married and the proud mother of two beautiful grown daughters. I had the pleasure of looking after my beloved mother during her final years, which inspired me to be the physician I am today. We moved to San Diego to be near my husband's mother. She had an extremely sweet demeanor and we were lucky to have spent so much time with her. I am so glad my children had the opportunity to spend quality time with their grandparents.

About my practice

I want to help members avoid health problems, so I am a supporter of healthy eating and regular exercise. I recommend that members keep an updated list of their medications and, if possible, come in about 10 minutes early for appointments in case the information we have about you needs to be updated.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I volunteer for Relief International and Bridges for Healing, and support the Autism Awareness Club. I do a variety of exercises three or four times per week. For my own relaxation, I set aside time to just take it easy or read a good book. I spend my days working, spending time with my family and friends, calling my daughters, and occasionally watching a good movie. Between a full-time career and a family life, it's hard to take time to get my exercise, but I try!
