Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am a family medicine physician at the Kaiser Permanente East Los Angeles Medical Offices. I see a wide range of patients, including children, teens, and adults. I truly enjoy the work and the daily opportunities to interact with patients to help them better manage their health.
My choice to practice family medicine allows me to establish long-term relationships with patients and their families. This continuity of care creates an exciting environment in which I can educate, monitor, and improve the health of my patients. I enjoy that every day of my practice is unique and challenging and allows me to further improve my skills. I am a native Southern Californian who grew up in the Los Angeles area. I completed my undergraduate studies at UCLA with a degree in chemistry and later completed medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and New York Medical College. I then had my family medicine residency at White Memorial Medical Center. I am a proud Latina and my family is of Colombian and Mexican descent. I am fluent in Spanish. I am married and have one daughter.
About my practice
When I take care of a family, my goal is provide caring, sound, culturally competent care with the hope of empowering them as a whole to achieve good health. I also promote wellness, which includes mental, physical, and social well being. Honesty and open communication are central to all of my patient relationships, and together we can work as a team to achieve the best outcomes.
How I thrive
I thrive by spending time with family especially my daughter, traveling, and making beautiful memories. I try to stay active when I can through bicycle riding, dancing, or taking a walk.
