Welcome to my Web page! I joined the Kaiser Permanente Riverside ophthalmology group in 2013. My practice focuses on the comprehensive management of various ocular conditions including dry eye, infection, pterygia, cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic eye care. I also perform medical and surgical management of cornea and external disease, such as keratitis, keratoconus, corneal dystrophies, and bullous keratopathies.
After completion of two B.S. degrees in chemical engineering and biochemistry at UC Davis, I worked in the Silicon Valley as a chemical engineer for four years. In 2004, I decided to pursue medicine. After earning my medical degree at Keck School of Medicine at USC, I stayed on at the prestigious USC-Doheny Eye Institute, which has been consistently ranked as one of the top ten programs in the nation, to complete my ophthalmology residency and cornea fellowship. During this time, I performed basic science and clinical research in technologies, cornea, and glaucoma. I co-authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented my works at many conferences.
I find that having the privilege to develop the personal connection with my patients, provide care for them, and achieve our mutual goals is the most rewarding aspect of my career. I am honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family. Our Kaiser Permanente Riverside Medical Center ophthalmology group is a team of excellent and caring physicians, and we take great pride in providing specialized and optimal care to each one of our patients. We believe that the best outcomes are achieved when our empowered patients understand their diagnoses and actively participate in the treatment. It is this philosophy that attracted me to join Kaiser Permanente in Riverside, and I love it here!
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family.
