Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician and physician administrator at Kaiser Permanente. I am a nephrologist, or kidney specialist, and have practiced for more than 15 years in the Antelope Valley. Besides caring for patients, I also spend part of my time at work as an administrator of our local hemodialysis center in Lancaster. I feel fortunate to be able to work at Kaiser Permanente as we strive to make our organization a model for quality health care delivery.
I am a native Southern Californian who grew up as a Kaiser Permanente member. I actually was born at the Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center on Sunset Boulevard (many years ago!). Since I was a little boy, I knew that I wanted to be a physician. I just like helping people, and practicing medicine gives me that opportunity every day.
About my practice
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people in meaningful ways, utilizing medical skills and knowledge but also paying attention to what patients really need. Communication is an important part of my practice. I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s emphasis on health in mind, body, and spirit. Each day I try to have fun and live a balanced life. My family life is my main priority outside of work, and I enjoy frequent family outings with my wife and four children. My wife and I also are involved with a variety of community projects aimed at helping the uninsured and underinsured residents of the Antelope Valley.
