Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I hope the information presented here helps you get to know me a little better.
In 2000, I moved to California from the East Coast to begin my medical career. I grew up in a small, working-class town in Connecticut where I learned the values of hard work, friendship, and family. Other interesting experiences I’ve had include teaching English in a foreign country and working as a portrait photographer.
About my practice
To me, being a physician is being a teacher and a student. As a teacher, my role is to provide meaningful information to my patients to help them achieve a lifestyle that maximizes their health and function. As a student, my role is to continue to learn from both textbooks and from the wisdom and experiences of my patients. My confidence as a physician is augmented by humility; I view myself as a servant/leader.
How I thrive
One of the keys to a healthy lifestyle is finding the right balance between our different roles. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active by playing basketball, golfing, running in 5K races, and working out at the gym. Doing photography keeps me balanced, too. Spending time with my wife, daughter, and family increases my capacity to love, think, and be. I’m also trying to become more kind to myself, too.
