About me

Welcome to my Web page. I am glad to have this opportunity to tell you about my practice and share some information about myself. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your physician and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I was born in Tehran, Iran, and migrated to United States in 1988. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychobiology from UCLA. It was during this time that I became interested in podiatric surgery. Being active in sports, I had many sports-related injuries and became very drawn to sports medicine. I then attended California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco, and I completed a three-year residency in foot and ankle surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. It was during this time that I gained surgical training in foot and ankle reconstruction, correction of congenital foot deformities, and diabetic limb salvage procedures.

About my practice

Medicine provides a special opportunity to help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. As a doctor, I am privileged that my patients share their innermost concerns with me, and I am honored to be able to translate these concerns and help arrange the appropriate evaluations. Good communication with my patients and their families is very important to me. I strive to treat my patients as I would my own family.

How I thrive

I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit, and I try to incorporate it in my life every day. I enjoy family outings to Dodgers and Lakers games. I try to remain active by participating in sports such as basketball and tennis. I enjoy summer camping trips to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite national park and of course, family time at home is important as well.
