Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I strongly believe in having a good rapport with one's physician, and I hope the information here will help you in choosing your personal physician.
I was born in India and moved here when I was 12. I completed my undergraduate training at UC Irvine, and went to medical school at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. I returned to Southern California for my residency. I’ve also lived in South Africa and Spain. I've received training in anthropology as well. This exposure to multiple cultures gives me a strong appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism, which I try to incorporate into my care.
About my practice
I’m a strong believer in preventive care and in people taking ownership of their own health care. In order to achieve these goals, my nurse and I encourage my members to utilize the resources at kp.org to learn about their health. We utilize a mixture of clinic appointments, email, letters, and phone calls to provide the best care and accessibility.
How I thrive
Balancing life and work is very important to me and, in order to accomplish this, I regularly go to yoga class. I also set aside time to spend with my friends and family. I'm an avid reader as well. However, my greatest pleasure is traveling and, in any given year, I’ll be going to far-flung places such as New Zealand, Peru, or Cambodia.
