Where I practice
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Web page. I know how challenging it can be to find a new personal physician. It's an important and very personal process. I hope this page will help you get to know me.
I was born and raised in the former Yugoslavia, where my family experiences shaped my future in becoming a physician. As a child I witnessed my grandmother, with whom I shared a special bond, suffer through heart disease and ultimately heart failure. I was deeply influenced by the knowledge that we need a great deal of compassion while working through illness. I graduated from medical school in Belgrade, and then moved to Los Angeles to join my husband. I spent a number of years in Los Angeles working in clinical research, during which I learned to love all that Southern California has to offer. I also spent a few years in Pittsburgh for my internal medicine training.
About my practice
As a physician I am privileged to share in my patients' lives, and in their concerns and dreams. Part of my passion for internal medicine is that I can empower my patients by helping them understand what they are going through, and by facilitating appropriate evaluations and treatment. I strive to treat each of my patients as I would my very own family, and to forge personal relationships so we can partner together to create a healthy future.
How I thrive
Maintaining balance in life is important to me. I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, reading books and learning new things, attending the theater, and enjoying the best that the Southern California outdoors has to offer.
