About me
I was raised in Covina, California but have spent half of my life living between LA and San Francisco. I completed my bachelors degree locally at Cal State Fullerton. I then moved to beautiful San Francisco and attained my Doctor of Optometry degree at UC Berkeley. Go Bears!
About my practice
My collegiate training and working years have allowed me to experience an array of clinical settings ranging from Veterans Hospitals to specialty practices in Hawaii, New York, Arizona and California. It was not until I started working at Kaiser Permanente that I felt I could truly perform the type of full comprehensive eye care that I love providing to every patient. During my eye examinations I check for and potentially treat an array of ocular diseases including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eyes, infections and much more. I also use your individual work/home/hobby needs to create the best glasses or contact lens prescription for you. I strive to continue my personal education and growth in optometry every week by continuing to further my knowledge base in the field. Although the exam will be focused on your vision and health, I genuinely enjoy building strong connections with my patients. I love that I have the opportunity to not only help, but also learn from people from all different walks of life. I hope to provide you with an enjoyable eye exam and look forward to seeing you soon.
How I thrive
I am an avid proponent of reading, personal development and working towards becoming the best version of yourself. Whether it’s improving your mindset, health, emotional state or soul, I believe that small 1% improvements made consistently over time can lead to astounding results. In my free time I enjoy writing, being in nature and creating travel videos. I have been blessed to be able to spend six months solo-backpacking throughout parts of Africa, Asia, Central and South America. This afforded me the opportunity to see the world and its people through my own lens. Via recommendations from patients, I decided to complete several weeks of paragliding courses in Colombia as well as to attain a Scuba Diving license. Some of my ultimate goals include writing a book, performing a wingsuit base jump, being selected on The Price is Right, and increasing my impact by significantly aiding in eye clinics abroad.
