Hi, I am Neena. Welcome to my Web page. I’m so delighted to have this chance to introduce myself and describe my work as a pathologist at Kaiser Permanente.
I am a board-certified pathologist and have completed my fellowship in surgical pathology from UC San Diego and my residency from Saint Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey. As pathologists, we work in the background and don’t have any outpatient connections with the members we care for, I’d like this Web page to bridge that gap and help you feel informed and comfortable with the work I do at to support member care and treatment. I wanted to be a doctor since I was a kid. I really looked up to my older sister who was attending medical school. I worked very hard to get admitted to one of the top medical school in India and excelled not only in academics, but also in sports. I was the basketball champion for the college and won several medals and honors for my school. I have a very strong belief in sports and active lifestyles, and take every opportunity to encourage my two kids to be active and play sports.
I bring loads of enthusiasm and energy to my work at Kaiser Permanente, as I juggle family life and provide diagnostic results for member treatment. I think education bridges economic disparity and so I’m helping fund primary and secondary education of underprivileged kids through philanthropic efforts at my high school in India. As a pathologist, I work very hard to provide on-time and quality diagnostic results in support of member care. I interact constantly with surgeons, physicians, and other doctors to stay in touch with members’ unique treatment issues so nothing goes unnoticed. I believe that pathologists don’t work in the spotlight but are an integral part of the treatment process. I feel fortunate to be able to help members get effective treatment through my laboratory results. I feel we have a great team of like-minded lab technicians and doctors, as well as a wonderful lab infrastructure to make this possible. Every day I feel proud of the work done in my department.
Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in mind, body, and spirit, matches with my view of life. I like to keep a balance in my life and believe in making the best of 'today'. I have great love for the outdoors and go hiking with my husband and two kids every weekend along trails and hiking locations in and around Los Angeles. I feel blessed to be living in sunny California and make it a point to take healthy breaks during my work day by walking outside the laboratory. When I have some spare time I enjoy watching foreign films!
