About me
Hello and welcome to Kaiser Permanente. I am Dr. Nathan Oh, thank you for visiting my web page.
Biography
Growing up in the South Bay area of Los Angeles shaped my appreciation for community and long-term relationships. Those early experiences influence how I approach primary care today, where connection and continuity matter.
I chose medicine because I wanted to build meaningful connections with my patients and support their health in a thoughtful, lasting way. Being a primary care physician allows for deeper understanding, and the opportunity to treat patients for many years. Seeing the same patients regularly creates space for preventive care, early intervention, and shared goal setting.
A fun fact patients often enjoy learning about me is that I played competitive badminton in middle school, including junior national and international competitions. Those experiences taught me discipline, teamwork, and consistency—qualities that continue to shape how I approach my work.
About my practice
What I enjoy most about my practice is caring for patients over time and building familiarity through ongoing visits. That continuity allows us to focus not only on current concerns, but also on preventive care and long-term health. I work collaboratively with patients to develop care plans that reflect their goals, priorities, and everyday lives.
My approach to primary care emphasizes listening, prevention, and follow-up. I believe strong relationships make it easier to address health concerns early and support lasting improvements in well-being.
How I thrive
I enjoy staying active and engaged through sports. I like watching baseball, football, and basketball, and I also enjoy playing golf and team sports. Recently, I’ve been running and appreciating the routine it brings. Starting the day with a good cup of coffee is a simple pleasure I never skip. One personal project I’m always refining is finding the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe—still a work in progress.
