About me
Hi there, and welcome to my web page. As a primary care pediatrician, I’m dedicated to preventing injuries, promoting immunizations, and supporting healthy development from the very start of life.
Biography
I grew up in Chico, a small city in the Sacramento Valley region of Northern California. As a widower who has remarried and is raising three children in a blended family, I’ve experienced bereavement, adoption, and stepparenting firsthand. Supporting my own children through their own challenges has strengthened my commitment to helping families build healthy habits, navigate challenges, and thrive together.
I chose pediatrics because early, evidence-based guidance can shape lifelong well-being. I’ve completed advanced training in public health, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and topical medicine, and as a former college athlete and endurance sport enthusiast, I enjoy encouraging kids to stay active, curious, and confident.
About my practice
My practice centers on prevention, because small habits formed early can shape a child’s future. Along with routine care, I treat conditions like asthma, eczema, and ADHD using a thoughtful, family-centered approach.
I believe great pediatric care starts with connection—listening, understanding a family’s story, and building trust. Our team-based primary care model ensures coordinated, integrated support so children stay healthy and are not just treated when they’re sick.
I believe in care built on presence—taking time, making eye contact, listening attentively, and connecting through shared stories.
How I thrive
I love working at Kaiser Permanente because it allows me to practice preventive, coordinated pediatrics, grounded in real relationships with families. Being part of a collaborative team lets me focus on listening, guiding, and supporting long-term wellbeing.
I try to live the same healthy habits I encourage in my patients—good nutrition, regular exercise, consistent sleep, hydration, mindful screen use, and plenty of play. I make time to nurture friendships and practice mindfulness, helping me stay centered and present at home and at in my practice.
