Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.
I grew up in suburban Chicago, where my parents still live. While I cannot say that I miss the winters in Chicago, it was a wonderful place to grow up. After completing my retina fellowship at Harvard Medical School, I met my beautiful wife and moved to Southern California in 2004.
I am an ophthalmologist subspecializing in retina and vitreous surgery. My practice is limited to diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous (the clear substance that fills the center of the eye). Some common conditions I treat include retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, macular holes, and macular puckering. I perform all of my hospital surgical procedures at the Vermont Pavilion at Kaiser Permanente’s South Bay Medical Center.
My wife and I spend most of our time playing with our two sons, but we also enjoy traveling, biking along the beach, playing tennis, and going to concerts as often as possible. I still root for the Chicago Bears and hope to see my Fighting Illini back in the Rose Bowl soon.
