Where I practice
Greetings! Welcome to my Web page. My name is Dr. Mojgan Khalpari, and I am director of women's imaging at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center.
I was trained in radiology at USC. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, I was an assistant professor at USC. I also worked in private practice at Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance. Ever since I started medical school, I have been fascinated by the diagnostic process. I believe a radiologist should be an investigator at heart, determined to uncover the true nature of each patient's health problem.
About my practice
My work is focused on the early detection of breast cancer. I am committed to creating a comfortable, caring environment for our patients and I make every effort to minimize the physical discomfort of biopsies and the emotional stress of cancer screening. I read mammograms, CT scans, ultrasounds, and plain films. To further investigate suspicious findings, I perform several types of biopsies. When surgery is necessary, I often perform small procedures that identify the suspect tissue for the surgeon. I work closely with a wide variety of physicians to manage each case in the most effective and compassionate manner.
How I thrive
My favorite activity is playing with my beautiful sons. I also like tennis and cooking traditional Persian dishes.
