Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I am a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles. I am glad to have the chance to tell you a little about myself. It is so important to feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
I moved to Los Angeles from South Korea when I was a youngster and have lived here ever since. Throughout my teenage years, I served many hours as a volunteer for local hospitals as well as the UCLA Medical Center. These wonderful experiences in those early years made me want to pursue a life in medicine. Now that I am a physician, I know that I have made the right decision. I look forward to every new day and feel fortunate to be able to offer my services to those who are in need.
About my practice
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. This requires a team effort. My team consists of nurses, medical office staff, and my physician colleagues. Together, we strive to provide the best care possible for everyone in our practice.
How I thrive
I tell all my patients to exercise their minds and bodies, and I try to practice what I preach. As a full-time physician and a mother, I have very little time to spare, but each day, I put a side time to exercise and read. The majority of my time outside of the hospital is spent with my daughter, who helps to keep my life full.
