Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad you are taking the time to learn more about the doctor who may be caring for you or your loved ones. It’s important to find a doctor you can relate to and have confidence in. I hope this Web page will enable you to get to know a little more about me.
I grew up outside Philadelphia. Following medical school and my residency training in Pittsburgh, I moved to Southern California for my fellowship training. I was on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine for five years, but I missed California’s warmth and sunshine. I joined Kaiser Permanente because it allows me to care for patients and continue to teach medical students and residents.
My goal is to provide every one of my patients with comprehensive and individualized treatment of their urinary incontinence and gynecologic disorders. I work with urologists, colorectal surgeons, and physical therapists to help ensure that my patients’ needs are met. I offer nonsurgical treatments as well as surgical ones and explain the options fully.
I believe that exercise contributes to health and mental well-being. I am an avid runner and have completed more than 45 marathons. Most mornings, I run before coming to work. My wife keeps fit by participating in exercise classes several times per week. Our two children enjoy running and baseball. As a family, we enjoy camping, evenings at the Hollywood Bowl, and movie nights at home.
