Where I practice
Hi! I’m a family physician with Kaiser Permanente here in Orange County.
I was born and raised in Southern California. I graduated from Cypress High School and then attended Pomona College in Claremont, where I played soccer and majored in art and history. After that, it was off to New York Medical College for four years before returning to California for my residency with Kaiser Permanente in Orange County.
About my practice
I am a family physician at heart! I believe in caring for the whole person: mind, body, and spirit. I believe that preventing illness is much better than treating it. I believe in care that is based on the latest research and most effective practices, but I’m not against traditional or alternative treatments. Listening and caring are my most important daily activities. Hippocrates once said, “Sometimes cure, treat often, comfort always.” I believe this still holds true today. I spend about half of my time at work caring for my patients, and the other half is split between teaching and providing diabetes care. As a faculty member, I teach family medicine residents and medical students at the Santa Ana Medical Offices. I’m also pleased to serve as Kaiser Permanente’s primary care champion for diabetes care in Orange County.
How I thrive
I balance my life with my family, fun, and my faith! I’ve been blessed with wonderful parents, a beautiful wife, and a great son. I like the LA Galaxy and the Anaheim Ducks. I love gardening and travel. I also enjoy art and history. These are just a few of my passions. I love being a physician, and I feel truly privileged to have been given the opportunity to practice the healing arts.
