Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I’m an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sport injuries of the knee, shoulder, and elbow, as well as shoulder replacement surgery. I came to Kaiser Permanente for the ability to focus almost exclusively on providing care.
I grew up in New Jersey, and then went to college at Columbia University in New York City. Afterwards, I worked in Internet strategy and development during the dotcom boom, before deciding that medicine was my calling. I feel this has given me an additional perspective in interacting with people that has served me well in medicine. I went to Albany Medical College for medical school, before doing my residency at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. I then came to Los Angeles to do my sports medicine fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, followed by an additional fellowship in shoulder and elbow reconstructive surgery.
My practice is focused on returning people to an active, healthy lifestyle. Having played sports at the college level and beyond, I understand how injuries can affect this goal. I’m fortunate to work with such great doctors and staff here at Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Medical Center.
I enjoy spending most of my remaining time with my wife and two children. I also enjoy sports, reading, hiking, and travel.
