About me
Welcome! I am a nurse practitioner (NP), and I’d like to tell you more about my role at Kaiser Permanente. I am a highly trained healthcare professional who performs physical examinations, diagnoses and treats illnesses, prescribes medications, orders and interprets lab tests, and provides education and counseling. As part of our team-based care model at Kaiser Permanente, I work with physicians as a valuable part of your care team.
Biography
I grew up in Compton, California, a city that will always hold a special place in my heart. Compton is more than where I was raised. It helped shape who I am today. It was there that my love for nursing and caring for others first began. The strength, resilience, and sense of community I experienced growing up continue to influence both the person and health care professional I am today. I now live in San Bernardino County, where I have built my career, raised my family, and stayed connected to my community. I enjoy the area's nearby mountains, great shopping, and amazing food. I'm definitely a foodie, so discovering a great restaurant is always a plus. Family is a huge part of who I am. I'm a proud mom and value spending time with my loved ones and making meaningful memories together. Nursing runs in my family, with my grandmother, great-aunt, and aunt all serving as nurses. From a young age, I knew this was the career I wanted to pursue. I am also honored to have received the DAISY Award and recognition for the care I provide to members.
About my practice
I practice family medicine and provide comprehensive care for patients across the lifespan, from children to older adults. My areas of interest include women's health, preventive care, contraception counseling and management, pediatric care, and geriatric care. I enjoy building long-term relationships with my patients and helping them manage both acute and chronic health concerns while focusing on prevention, education, and overall wellness. My philosophy is centered on treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis. I believe patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and involved in decisions about their health. I value open communication, evidence-based care, prevention, and patient education. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where patients feel safe asking questions and leave with a clear understanding of their health and plan of care. I believe excellent patient care is a team effort and work closely with physicians, nurses, specialists, pharmacists, and other members of the health care team to provide coordinated, comprehensive care. I enjoy caring for patients from diverse backgrounds and strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone feels respected and valued. What I appreciate most about Kaiser Permanente is its team-based approach, focus on prevention and education, and commitment to helping patients take an active role in their health.
How I thrive
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, shopping, and discovering new restaurants. These activities help me recharge and maintain balance in my life. I believe wellness is about more than physical health. It also includes finding joy, nurturing meaningful relationships, and making time for the things that bring happiness. Taking time for myself helps me return refreshed, present, and ready to give my best.
