Where I practice
Welcome. I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
My family moved from Seattle to Southern California when I was 1 year old, so I consider myself a native of San Diego. I grew up in La Mesa/El Cajon and attended Saint Augustine High School. I then went to USC, where I graduated with a business finance degree. After working for several years, I returned to school at UC Davis for my medical degree.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, so I promote exercise and good nutrition. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me to better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of your health. Although it takes me away from my medical office some of the time, I also enjoy working in the hospital one week out of the month. It allows me to stay current on the latest medical techniques.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of total health, which considers all aspects of a person's state of being - body, mind, and spirit - and try to live it every day by doing some form of exercise. My family life is my highest priority outside of work. I enjoy going to the beach, any type of exercise, as well as travel. Chasing two boys around the house also helps keep me in shape.
