Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page! I am happy to share some information about myself to make members more comfortable with me and my style of practice. I feel it is important that the trust between a patient and doctor begins early on.
I grew up in the Philippines and knew very early on in my life that I wanted to be a doctor. Despite the difficult conditions many people live with, they remain resilient and happy, and more importantly are always willing to help one another. I strive to carry that with me in my practice today. I started my internal medicine training at the University of Connecticut and after completing my chief resident year, I moved to California to finish my nephrology fellowship at Stanford. I then moved to sunny Los Angeles to be with my husband.
About my practice
I love what I do. I am so happy to come to work and realize what an amazing job I have. My practice scope is mostly hypertension, chronic kidney disease dialysis, and kidney transplantation. I am also involved in several regional committees to improve quality of care in kidney patients. My style of practice is to provide patients with information, options, suggestions and education. By doing so I hope to come up with a plan of care that makes sense to both sides.
How I thrive
I believe that good health is about balance. I thrive by spending time with my husband and beautiful son, going to church, and playing tennis on a regular basis. I also love singing and hip hop dancing!
