Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I have been a practicing optometrist since 1997. I enjoy working with patients of all ages, and look forward to welcoming you and your family to my practice.
I was born in New Delhi, India and came to the U.S. with my parents at the age of four. I grew up in Glendale and went to USC for my undergraduate degree. I then attended the New England College of Optometry in Boston, where I stayed for almost 12 years before coming back home to California. After working in private practice within a joint optometry/ophthalmology setting, I joined Kaiser Permanente in January of 2008. I am active in volunteer clinics in the U.S. and abroad, providing care to underserved communities. I also hold a seat on the California State Board of Optometry and am currently serving as Board President.
About my practice
My practice at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills Medical Center includes a wide variety of patients. I have specialty training in contact lenses, ocular disease, and low vision. In addition to providing specialty care, I also see members for routine eye exams. Our department works in concert with the Department of Ophthalmology to provide the most comprehensive care available to our patients.
How I thrive
I enjoy playing tennis and swimming. I also kick box, do yoga, and spend time at the gym. My husband enjoys hiking, so we spend time hiking trails in the Santa Monica Mountains when time permits. I also enjoy theater and classical music and attend performances as often as possible. Travel is also a passion and I have visited most of the United States as well over 20 countries abroad. It is a dream of mine to visit all seven continents and I have made it to five so far!
