About me
Welcome! I am a nurse practitioner (NP), and I’d like to tell you more about my role at Kaiser Permanente. I am a highly trained healthcare professional who performs physical examinations, diagnoses and treats illnesses, prescribes medications, orders and interprets lab tests, and provides education and counseling. As part of our team-based care model at Kaiser Permanente, I work with physicians as a valuable part of your care team.
Biography
I grew up in the Los Angeles area and have always loved that Southern California offers so many different environments, from beaches to mountains. I now live in San Diego, where I enjoy bird watching and exploring the region’s diverse habitats. I am married and have 2 sons. Our household also includes 2 cats, a gecko, a tarantula, and a corn snake. I feel honored to get to know the women I care for and to be part of their health journeys. Outside of health care, I’ve enjoyed serving on the parent-family association board at my children’s school and helping build connections within our school community.
About my practice
I care for women experiencing pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, recurrent urinary tract infections, and interstitial cystitis. Every time I enter an exam room, I approach the encounter as an opportunity to get to know a new person and understand how a health concern is affecting daily life. Together, we work toward solutions using an evidence-based approach. I value continuity of care and collaboration, and I appreciate being able to communicate with other members of a patient’s care team when needed. While many of the people I see are older adults, I welcome adult patients from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages.
How I thrive
I enjoy baking, writing, and spending time outdoors. I’m currently taking a children’s writing course and love making time for creativity. Writing gives me an opportunity to reflect and regroup, while hiking and walking help me release stress and feel centered.
