Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I hope that you can find information here to help you get to know me better before we meet in person. I look forward to helping you stay healthy.
I grew up in East Los Angeles and still live there today with my family. I have been fascinated with medicine since I was a child. When I was a pediatric patient, I was impressed with the compassion, competence, and kindness that my physician showed me. I knew at the moment of my hospital discharge that I wanted to become a physician like her so that I could help others the way she helped me. After many years of hard work and perseverance, I have become the first physician in my family.
About my practice
I am a family medicine physician, which means I take care of all types of patients and medical problems. I enjoy caring for babies, pregnant women, the elderly, and everyone in between. I spend most of my time working in the clinic; however, I also work in the hospital. I enjoy working with residents and medical students and teaching. I believe in treating the person as a whole, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I spend time educating my patients so they understand their conditions and become self-advocates to better control their diseases. We have a team approach at Kaiser Permanente that centers on the member. We invest time in preventive care and services.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like trying new and different foods to get a taste of different cultures and cuisines. I love traveling and exploring new cities and meeting new people. I enjoy yoga, walking, and step aerobics. At work, I’ve developed strong bonds with my colleagues, including nurses and all the staff, which has created a pleasant environment for myself and our members. Most importantly, I try to stay healthy myself so that I can continue to serve my patients.
