About me
Welcome, and thank you for visiting my Web page. I hope the information below helps you as you consider whether I may be the right obstetrics/gynecology (ob/gyn) physician for you.
Biography
I was raised in Utah and later moved to California for college to be closer to my ailing grandparents and to reconnect with my extended family. Relocating to a more culturally diverse environment profoundly shaped my understanding of the importance of belonging, inclusion, and community. These early experiences became a catalyst for the values that continue to guide both my personal and professional journey.
In 2024, I was honored to step into the role of Regional Assistant Medical Director for Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity, where I am able to pursue my passion for fostering inclusion, cultivating belonging, and working to mitigate health disparities on a regional level.
About my practice
In my clinical practice, I have a special interest in providing holistic, member-centered care. I value shared decision-making and include both traditional and non-traditional therapies when appropriate to support each member’s individual goals and needs. While surgery is not always necessary, when it becomes the best option, I am able to draw upon my surgical expertise to provide high-quality care. As my career has evolved, I have become increasingly focused on refining my surgical skills to help members recover more quickly and return to their lives with fewer disruptions. To that end, I earned a practice designation in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, which is now a primary emphasis of my surgical practice.
How I thrive
Maintaining a healthy balance between work and self-care is important to me. I enjoy giving back to my community through my sorority, Delta Sigma Theta, and spending quality time traveling with my husband and 2 daughters. On quieter days, I can often be found enjoying a good book on the beach or riding my bike along local trails.
