About me

Hello, my name is Dr. Lena S. Lee, I'm one of the pediatricians in the High Desert Medical Offices. Thank you for taking the time to visit my Web page.

Biography

I grew up in Canada but I've lived in California for more than 20 years--and yes, we do speak English in Canada; and no, the Canadian national anthem is not sung to the tune of "O Christmas Tree." But all kidding aside, I've wanted to be a doctor since high school and I've wanted to be a pediatrician since after my first clinical rotations in my third year of medical school. It can be challenging, as well as satisfying, and I truly believe that helping and caring for children helps everyone. My favorite color is green, I love spicy foods (especially Indian), my all-time favorite TV series is the "X Files," and I'm a strong believer in retail therapy (I'd like to think I'm helping the economy).

About my practice

I believe in immunizations, preventive measures, and healthy living. I view myself as a child/patient advocate. I am a part of a large team of professionals that works toward taking care of our members. I believe that patients have a very significant role in their own health care.

How I thrive

I try to use my time efficiently, I have a commute to work and I love to read, so audio books have been a Godsend. And I've found that it's very important to spend time with family and friends, and those you love should be made a top priority. I drive a Hybrid car and recycle, which makes me feel like I'm doing my part for the environment.
