About me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I’m excited to share some information about myself with you.
Biography
I was born and raised in Michigan, where my parents and sister still live. I was a gymnast for 14 years and then picked up modern dance in high school, which I continued to study as an undergrad. I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a physician. After earning my bachelor’s degree in Michigan, I attended medical school in Iowa, where I also completed a fellowship in osteopathic manual medicine. I then completed my internship in Michigan and my residency in Ohio before moving here with my fiancé.
About my practice
My goal as a physician and physiatrist (specialist in physical medicine and rehabilitation) is to partner with members in order to determine what needs to be done to improve their function and quality of life. I believe strongly in a holistic approach — body, mind, spirit. I am trained in osteopathic manual medicine, which is a form of hands-on treatment designed to diagnose and treat injuries as well as help improve the body’s overall function. Additionally, I order diagnostic imaging, perform nerve tests, perform joint and trigger point injections, and prescribe physical therapy, among other things. My overall goal is to help get people back to doing what is meaningful for them!
How I thrive
There are a variety of things that are important in my life: family and friends, being outdoors, exercise and quiet time. I like to bike, run, hike, and work out, in addition to reading and knitting. I also love to travel and try new things!
