Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
Welcome to my Web page. I have been a family practice physician at Kaiser Permanente for over 16 years, and physician-in-charge at Kaiser Permanente Temecula Valley Medical Offices for over 10 years. I'm glad to have the chance to introduce myself and tell you more about my practice and me.
I grew up in Southern California and knew that I wanted to be a physician since I was in high school. I attended college at the University of California Riverside and then attended medical school on an Air Force scholarship. I served my military duty at Norton Air Force base in San Bernardino. I am actively involved in teaching medical students at UC Riverside and family practice residents for the Kaiser Permanente family practice residency at Riverside Medical Center.
I feel very privileged as a physician to be able to help patients understand their minds and bodies, and to partner with them in taking control of their health. Empowering patients with knowledge of their illness, as well informing them of the treatment options they have, helps us work as a team in achieving and sustaining health. I also believe that prevention of illness is always preferable to treating illness. I feel fortunate that working at Kaiser Permanente has allowed me to embrace this philosophy.
Medicine is a very demanding profession and keeping balance in my life is very important. I enjoy spending time with my wife and son, as well as participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, mountain biking, and scuba diving.
