About me
Hello, and welcome to my Kaiser Permanente Web page! I am a physiatrist in the Orthopedics Department, and I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I hope this will help you in getting to know me.
Biography
I am a Southern California native, and growing up, I enjoyed playing basketball and baseball as well as exploring the outdoors. I have always been interested in health, exercise, and sports medicine. After completing medical school, I went to Chicago, where I completed my residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation and then a sports medicine fellowship at Northwestern Medicine’s Shirley Ryan AbilityLab. During my sports medicine training, I provided medical coverage for Northwestern University collegiate athletics and the adaptive sports program at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.
About my practice
I focus on the nonsurgical care of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. My goal is to improve quality of life, performance, and function — which means getting you back to your running routine, your swimming laps, or your activity of choice! Furthermore, I aim to deliver member-focused and goal-oriented care, whether for a young athlete returning to sport, a weekend warrior, or someone who wants to better get around and walk with loved ones. I have a significant interest in the application of ultrasound in my practice for diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions in the office and providing image guidance during procedures.
How I thrive
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, playing basketball, weightlifting, and experiencing the outdoors. I make it a priority to stay active, and I feel exercise is critical for all our health and well-being. I have been fortunate to have lived in Southern California and Chicago as I love trying new cooking recipes and discovering new food places.
