Accepting new patients.
Welcome to my Web page. I hope this helps you learn about me and my interests. I look forward to helping you in any way I can.
I've wanted to become a doctor since I was in elementary school. My father was a radiation oncologist in a university hospital, and I really enjoyed talking to him about his practice and seeing his office. He always spoke so highly of the profession that I thought it would be great to pursue. Certainly my proclivity for science and mathematics helped, but I learned quickly that I really liked talking to people and wanted to make a difference in people's lives. I also have an identical twin brother as well as a younger brother who also became physicians because of our father. We moved to the Philadelphia area when I was 5 months old and I grew up there. I did my undergraduate and medical school training in Philadelphia, and then moved down I-95 to the DC area for my residency. After 9 years in the DC area, I met my wife and we returned to Philadelphia where our daughter was born. We moved to the West Coast in 2011 for my wife's business and I joined the Kaiser Permanente family soon thereafter. I live with my wife and daughter.
I enjoy the practice of medicine very much and love what I do. I’m very interested in prevention and keeping my members as healthy as possible with as little medication as possible. Certainly there is a role for medication, but I like to avoid it when possible. I try to keep up with newer treatments and medications as they become available. If you decide to have me as your primary care doctor, I’ll work with you to try to keep you feeling as well as you can feel.
I go to my local gym three times per week and enjoy walking our super-friendly Labradoodle for about an hour each day. My wife is an excellent cook (and baker) and I try to eat healthily. My wife runs our all-natural, no added sugar, healthier dessert company. I’m a big sports fan and enjoy watching sports of any kind. I love spending time with my family and traveling.
