Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
A native of New York, I completed my residency in obstetrics and gynecology and my fellowship in high-risk obstetrics on the East Coast. I then came to San Diego as chief of obstetrics at Naval Medical Center as an active duty naval officer. While there, my husband and I fell in love with San Diego and decided to make our home here. After six years of private practice, I came to Kaiser Permanente and intend to stay! In addition to helping members start their own families, I am busy raising two children with my husband, who is also a Kaiser Permanente physician.
About my practice
As a subspecialist in high-risk obstetrics, my goal is to help my patients have the healthiest pregnancy they can and to help them if any problems arise. I’m fortunate to have experienced, caring colleagues both in the office and in the hospital to help me care for my members. Our team includes high-risk obstetricians, labor and delivery specialists, nurse specialists, nurse educators, genetics counselors, obstetric sonographers and radiologists, and pediatric newborn specialists.
How I thrive
Caring for high-risk pregnancies requires a great deal of dedication and time, so it’s important for me to maintain a balance in my life so that I can be healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually. Spending time with my family is my highest priority, whether relaxing at home, going to movies or the theater, or traveling to enjoy our hobbies of skiing and scuba diving. I enjoy running and weight training, and I try to eat a healthy diet, but have a weak spot for chocolate! I have managed to complete two marathons, several half marathons, and have participated in other running and cycling events for charity.
