Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am delighted to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because my colleagues and I have the same goal of providing high-quality care while helping to keep communities healthy. I look forward to working with you.
I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, in the western coastal area called Mayaguez. My parents are Christian missionary teachers who often moved from one country to another. After finishing college on my home island, I decided to come to the United States for medical school and to begin my career. During medical school, I fell in love with the great weather in California and, after my residency rotation at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center, I decided to stay within the Kaiser Permanente system and also stay in this part of the country.
About my practice
I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. As a pediatrician who specializes in caring for kids in the hospital, I want to involve entire families in making decisions that improve the health of their precious little ones. By being proactive and encouraging communication, you and I can be a great team.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente's philosophy of health in body, mind, and spirit, and I try to follow it in my life every day. I keep things balanced by making sure I get enough sleep, eating a nutritious diet, and exercising regularly. Although my immediate family is not near, I keep in close communication with them. I set time aside to visit friends and go to church routinely. My dog, Pepper, is a hyperactive black Labrador retriever. I love to travel and participate in missionary projects overseas. I exercise regularly and enjoy camping and outdoor sports.
