About me

I’m glad to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I was born in South Korea and moved to Paraguay when I was 5 years old. I lived in Asuncion for 25 years, completing my medical education there. The desire to become a physician began when, as a young Korean immigrant, I had to help people in my community as an interpreter as they sought health care. In 2002, I had the opportunity to come to the United States for a family medicine residency in beautiful New Mexico.

About my practice

I like to empower members with medical information. I believe that health care can be most effective when the physician and the member work together. I also believe a healthy lifestyle and preventive care are key to a person's well-being. I feel honored that my members have entrusted me with their care.

How I thrive

I feel it’s important to find balance in all aspects of your life—both physical and mental. Staying physically active helps me achieve a good mind/body balance. My family is my major priority. I’m dedicated to my role as a primary care physician, but I make the effort to exercise, eat right, sleep well, and spend time with my family and friends.
