Where I practice
Hello, and welcome to my Web page! I'm happy to have the opportunity to tell you about my practice. I hope the information here helps you feel familiar with me because I know how important it is for a member to be comfortable with his or her physician.
I was born at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center on Sunset, and my mother has been a nurse at Kaiser Permanente even before I was born. My education took me first to UCLA for college and then to the East Coast, where I obtained my medical degree at Virginia Commonwealth University. I was happy to return to Southern California to complete my internal medicine training at Kaiser Permanente’s Los Angeles Medical Center, and I'm honored to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family.
About my practice
I am a hospitalist, and so I specialize mainly in the care of hospitalized members. I work with an amazing group of specialists and subspecialists in the hospital who help me in the diagnosis, treatment, and care of the acutely ill. My practice also involves making rounds at the skilled nursing facility, running palliative meetings, and providing pain management and preoperative assessment.
How I thrive
I lead a balanced lifestyle. I try to do some form of physical activity daily and usually start my mornings running, cycling, or doing a session on the elliptical. I also weight train most days of the week. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and I love watching sports. My favorite teams are the Lakers, Rams, Kings, and Dodgers, but my UCLA Bruins will always be my #1. Go, Bruins!
