Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients, and look forward to working with you to care for your health.
I was born in Los Angeles, but also lived in Aurora, Illinois, and Durango, Mexico before returning here for my high school years. I was fortunate to attend UCLA for my undergraduate degree and the Charles Drew/UCLA Medical Education Program for medical school. Here I met my beautiful wife, who is also a family medicine physician at one of our Kaiser Permanente clinics. We are the proud parents of a boy and girl who keep us busy all the time. We both enjoy sports and keep busy on weekends with our kids’ games. We also try to go to as many UCLA football games as possible.
About my practice
Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing medical skills and knowledge, but also listening and responding to what patients need. Communication with my patients and their families is an important part of my practice. I feel honored that patients have entrusted me with their care and strive to treat them as I would my own family.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I really enjoy spending time with my family. As I mentioned, both my wife and I enjoy sports and go to many events. We try to take both our kids with us to all the games. As much as possible, we alternate working out at the gym after work. I also make it a priority to set aside time to just relax, playing with our children as much as I can.
