Where I practice
Welcome to my Web page. I hope that you can find information here to help you get to know me better before we meet in person. I look forward to helping you stay healthy.
I grew up in Los Angeles, in the same area where I practice today. Being the son of immigrants, I have experienced the challenges of seeking health care when you speak a different language. I have always had an interest in science and a desire to serve others, thus medicine was a natural fit for me. While I enjoy serving patients from many different cultures, I am fluent in Spanish and feel I have strong ability to serve the Spanish-speaking community in particular.
About my practice
I am a family medicine physician, which means I take care of all types of patients and medical problems. I enjoy caring for babies, pregnant women, the elderly, and everyone in between. I spend most of my time working in the clinic; however, I also work in the hospital. I enjoy working with residents and medical students and teaching. I believe in treating the person as a whole: mentally, physically, and spiritually. I spend time educating my patients so they understand their conditions and become self-advocates to better control their diseases. We have a team approach to care at Kaiser Permanente that centers around the member. We invest time in preventive care and services because prevention is best.
How I thrive
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like trying new and different foods to get a taste of different cultures and cuisines. I love traveling and exploring new cities and meeting new people. I enjoy walking, jogging, and swimming. Outside of work, I try to stay active in advocating for health policy that promotes wellness for all communities. Most importantly, I try to stay healthy myself so that I can continue to serve my patients.
