Where I practice
Thank you for visiting my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice
I was born in China and worked as a nephrologist for about 10 years there after completing my medical education, residency, and fellowship. I then immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, in 2001, where I earned my PhD in the field of cardiology at Simon Frasier University. Subsequently I moved to the United States and completed my internal medicine training at Marshfield Clinic Residency Program in Wisconsin and nephrology fellowship training at UCLA.
About my practice
I love what I do. Being an immigrant and raised in a different cultural background, I appreciate the importance of embracing individuality and respecting the diversity of others. I want to get know each member as a person so we can work together to tackle his or her kidney problems. My practice includes water and electrolyte disorders such as sodium and potassium imbalance, glomerular diseases, acute and chronic kidney diseases, and renal replacement therapies including peritoneal dialysis, hemodialysis, and kidney transplant. Being a physician is not a privilege but a responsibility. I will do my best to provide medical information, education, and recommendations, and to help members to make informed medical decisions that are best for them.
How I thrive
I live well by keeping close to my family and friends and being active. I have a lovely son who is my major priority. We both love the outdoors. Hiking and fitness dance are my favorites. I love travel and have a bucket list of world wonders to see!
