Kaiser Permanente physician
My gender: Male
Accepting new patients.
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I feel very fortunate for the opportunity to introduce myself to my patients before we meet face to face. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your physician. I hope this page helps you get to know me better.
To understand me, you need to know a little bit about the people who have most influenced my life: my parents. My parents came to the United States from Mexico in the late ‘60s in search of the American Dream. I learned first-hand from them the value of hard work and the merit of humility. Given the sacrifices that my parents made to give me the chance to be the first person in my family to attend college, I wanted to pursue a career where my education could be of benefit to others. Thus, I chose medicine. Being a doctor is a privilege every day. I feel I have the easiest, hardest, funniest, saddest, and most challenging job that I could have ever imagined.
As a family medicine physician, my practice philosophy is simple. From the cradle to old age, I would like to be the one physician who cares for all the members of the family unit. Be it a common cold or a minor procedure, I want my patients to be as invested in me as their physician as I am in their care.
Laughing is the way that I thrive. Whether it is attending an improv show or checking out the latest comedy, I sincerely believe in the power of laughter. My wife and I are avid people-watchers, and have been known to create imaginative tales about the people we see on nightly walks or weekend bike rides. Through laughter, we remind ourselves about the blessings of health.
